Aijō – Aijō – Your place to discover and learn about bondage

Shana and Jack, the owner of Aijo

Shana & Jack are Aijō

Aijō (affection, loving feelings) stands for the subtle art of rope – inspired by Japanese traditions such as Osada-Ryū, our work combines aesthetics, technique, and expressiveness. Whether in private lessons, workshops, shows, or photo shoots: we open up the world of shibari, kinbaku, and bondage with heart, clarity, and passion. With expertise and empathy, we accompany you—whether you are a beginner or want to deepen your bondage technique. Welcome to Aijō – where rope is more than just a tool.

Shana & Jack are the people behind this name. Here you can gain an insight into their history, their experiences and what makes them tick. Learn more about their shared journey, their passion and their work.

News in brief

Aijō was represented at Obscene 2026 in Karlsruhe with Shibari workshops, Rope Experience, and a show on the main stage. An intense weekend full of rope art, encounters, and shared passion.

In this training, we dive deeper into the topic of aesthetics with a single rope.

Tie with one rope, take a picture, create a new tie and take another picture. Afterwards, you talk about what you particularly like — or do not like — about each image.

An extraordinary project centered around rope bondage, Shibari photography, and creative bondage art

Aijō was asked by Nawaland if Jack would photographically accompany a session in their dojo. Of course, we agreed immediately and you can see the pictures in the report.

Immerse yourself in the clear, artistic system of Osada-Ryū. As a certified instructor, I will guide you step by step through the techniques, connection, and nine principles of this school—in a structured, safe, and aesthetic manner.

Discover the art of Shibari in a private lesson—a safe space to deepen your technique, aesthetics, and mindful connection step by step. Perfect for curious beginners and advanced practitioners who want personal and discreet guidance.

Experience Shibari in an inspiring workshop – hands-on, guided, and in an appreciative atmosphere. Learn techniques, flow, and safety together in a group and discover new ways of creativity and connection. The workshop is open to everyone, regardless of experience.

Aijō Keiko is an ongoing training program at the Aijō Dojo in Lenzburg, where we work together as a group to explore a specific topic from the fields of shibari, bondage, restraint techniques, and body mechanics.

Experience Shibari as an impressive performance—artistic, emotional, and precisely staged. A show that combines aesthetics, excitement, and expressiveness, making every event a special moment.

Jack The Rigger realizes photographic bondage projects with experience, openness, and creative curiosity. Photography, body, and rope merge into atmospheric images—from aesthetic to playful. TFP upon publication approval, alternatively fair on a fee basis.

What our customers say about us

Aijō - Testimonial Pikushii vom Nawaland

pikushii from Nawaland

I admire Jack and Shana on many levels. As teachers, they authentically share their world of Japanese bondage. With emotion, self-deprecating humor, and the necessary seriousness, they share what moves them. In doing so, they draw from the vast experience of a couple who have lived together for many years and have mastered many ups and downs, both inside and outside the ropes, together.

As performers, they bring precisely this naturalness to the stage and share a wide range of emotions and dynamics with the audience. From funny and playful to sexy and wicked, they cover it all, mixed with their very own dose of charm.

As an event organizer, I really enjoy working with them because they are reliable and enthusiastic partners. Many a “barroom idea” has turned into a successful project in no time.

Aijō - Testimonial Belle

Belledie and Mahō no nawa

We’ve been students of Jack’s for over 10 years and have been part of Secret56 alongside him and Shana for a long time—so it’s all the more wonderful to see that Aijō has now created a dedicated space for his and Shana’s collaborative work.

We’ve not only attended many workshops but also seen some of their shows and participated in photo shoots. This mix of different aspects creates a complete picture: you don’t just learn technique, but also get a feel for aesthetics, dynamics, and emotions. Jack teaches clearly and in a structured way.

The atmosphere is relaxed, respectful, and at the same time very focused—you feel supported, no matter where you’re at. We’ve always had a lot of trust in them, and that continues with Aijō. We’re very excited to be part of this new chapter and can absolutely recommend it.
