Aijō at Obscene 2026

On April 24, 2026, the time had come: Aijō set off from Switzerland to Karlsruhe, more precisely to the Gartenhalle.

Once again this year, Obscene took place there – an erotic fair with numerous booths offering everything the scene could wish for. From outfits, some of which Shana was able to make her own, to toys such as floggers, paddles, and whips, as well as full furniture installations, everything was represented.

After our arrival, we headed straight to the fair, as our first workshop started just 15 minutes after opening. “Nijubishinawa Gote in a Yokozuri Suspension” was aimed at couples with prior experience. Three couples had registered in advance, and a fourth joined spontaneously on site.

The scheduled 2.5 hours proved to be well planned. Thanks to the participants' prior knowledge, everyone was able to build the Gote quickly. With only a few targeted instructions, the workshop developed very dynamically. In the end, all couples were able to go into suspension and try out what they had learned – a complete success.

With that, our workday was already over, and we took the opportunity to visit our friends at the “Rope Experience” booth. There, various riggers offer visitors the chance to gain their first experiences with being tied and to explore whether they are interested in this facet of BDSM.

It was impressive to see how much dedication and sensitivity the team showed in their interactions with people.

Saturday marked a premiere for Shana: she led a workshop for the first time.

With noticeable but well-controlled nervousness, we started the workshop “Rope Bottoming – The Model Side of Ropes”. Shana highlighted various aspects from the model’s perspective: How do I support the rigger during the tying process? Do I have the courage to communicate boundaries clearly? What is considered “normal” – and where does my own individual framework begin? Topics such as body tension and communication were at the center.

The ten participating couples were very satisfied and gave consistently positive feedback. It became clear how important and in-demand such content is.

At 4 p.m., our performance on the main stage followed. This time, the stage fright was limited, allowing us to fully immerse ourselves in our play and dynamic from the very beginning.

After the show, we were surprised by an artist who had created several drawings of us during our performance. She gifted us three of these works as a token of appreciation. She emphasized how visible our connection was on stage and how strongly it resonated with the audience. You can find more about her work on her Instagram profile: L'atelier d'Adma.

Many visitors approached us afterward to thank us for the show. That is exactly our motivation: to show people what Shibari means to us – and to move them with it.

And so the second day came to an end. Of course, we did not leave immediately but enjoyed the time with many wonderful people and occasionally supported the “Rope Experience” booth.

Sunday was originally planned as a free day – or so we thought. At short notice, we were invited to join the final stage show together with the “Rope Experience” team.

We did not want to miss this opportunity. So we appeared on stage a second time – including a humorous element: In an age-appropriate manner, Jack was rolled onto the stage in a wheelchair. The fun factor was accordingly high and led to many laughs.

Among those present were: @Happa, @sakura.rope, @feuer_taenzer, @roperat_, Lucy La Cat and CatsCradel.

On stage, a vibrant overall picture emerged: six couples performed simultaneously, offering the audience a wide variety of impressions. It was almost impossible to take in everything at once – and that was exactly what made it so appealing.

This weekend was undoubtedly intense and demanding, yet at the same time it felt like a form of relaxation – carried by community, trust, and passion.
